Welcome to SnapCapit! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of SnapCapit (“the App”).
By using SnapCapit, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the App.
1. What SnapCapit Does
SnapCapit is a Reddit-integrated app that allows users to upload images, add captions, vote on captions, and automatically generate memes with the top captions selected.
SnapCapit is intended to encourage creativity and community engagement in a fun, collaborative way.
2. Eligibility
You must have a valid Reddit account to use SnapCapit.
By using SnapCapit, you confirm that you comply with Reddit’s User Agreement.
3. Your Content
By uploading an image or adding a caption, you agree that:
- You have the right to share the content on Reddit.
- Your content does not violate Reddit’s content policy or applicable laws.
- You grant SnapCapit and Reddit a license to display your image, captions, and username as part of the app’s functionality.
You remain the owner of any content you submit.
4. Prohibited Content & Behavior
You may not use SnapCapit to upload, caption, or vote on content that is:
- Illegal, hateful, harassing, or threatening.
- Sexual or NSFW content (unless your subreddit allows and Reddit’s policies permit it).
- Spam, scams, or malicious links.
- Copyrighted material you do not have the rights to share.
We reserve the right to remove or prevent the generation of memes that violate these rules.
5. Moderation
Subreddit moderators control how SnapCapit is used within their communities.
Moderators may remove images, captions, or posts at their discretion, in line with their subreddit rules.
SnapCapit does not intervene in subreddit-specific moderation decisions.
6. Data & Privacy
SnapCapit collects only minimal data needed for functionality (images, captions, votes, and Reddit usernames).
Data is deleted after the caption session ends.

7. Disclaimer of Warranty
SnapCapit is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
We make no guarantees that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or available at all times.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnapCapit and its creators are not responsible for:
- Any loss or damage caused by user-generated content.
- Any offensive, inappropriate, or harmful captions posted by other users.
- Any downtime, bugs, or errors in the app.
You use SnapCapit at your own risk.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date above and announce major updates on our GitHub page or subreddit.
Continued use of SnapCapit after changes means you accept the new Terms.
